I get asked a LOT of questions on a daily basis BUT the one that gets asked the most is: “How do I take care of myself in between sessions?”  

My goal here at Mad Hatter is not only to provide exceptional massage therapy but to also help educate my clients.   The question I get asked the most is what you can do to make the benefits of your sessions last longer! Below I have 7 tips for you!

First and foremost, scheduling your next appointment.  No lie. This gives you something to look forward to as well as knowing that you are getting consistent care.  That is the key to making your sessions’ benefits last.

By now I have probably showed you a few stretches and you’ve seen the Desk stretching PDF that you can print and take with you & I encourage you to use that! (If you look to your right, there should be a cute little ad there where you can go snag your copy!)

You can also purchase a foam roller.  These are amazing! Check out this demo video below.  It doesn’t have to be an extremely painful process. You can choose a multitude of sizes, but I prefer my handheld one.

Try an epsom salt bath. These are great for helping remove soreness from muscles.

Drink plenty of water, at least half your body weight per day.

Stay active.  This may seem counter intuitive, but trust me.  It works.

And last, but not least, make sure you are getting enough rest each night!
